Daniel W. Juffernbruch
Mr. Juffernbruch received his law degree (J.D.) in 1990 from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. In 1988 he was admitted before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (Registration No. 33,122) and is admitted to the bars of Illinois and the District of Columbia. He also served from 1986-1988 in the computer software art at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner.
Mr. Juffernbruch received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) in 1985 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While earning his engineering degree, Mr. Juffernbruch worked as a cooperative education engineer for the aerospace corporation Sundstrand. During night law school, Mr. Juffernbruch worked as a Patent Agent at two Washington, D.C. law firms and then later as a Patent Attorney.
Mr. Juffernbruch was Division Patent Counsel at Motorola, Inc. in Schaumburg, Illinois for nine years. At Motorola, he was responsible for patent portfolio management, strategic counseling and standards, and patent licensing, for its cellular radio, internet solutions, research labs and automotive businesses.
Mr. Juffernbruch previously was the Director of Intellectual Property at CommWorks Corporation, a subsidiary of 3Com Corporation, based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, that developed wireline telecommunications and wireless infrastructure technologies until its sale to UTStarcom in 2003.
Mr. Juffernbruch founded Patents and Licensing LLC in 2003 to serve his clients with their patents, licensing and practice management needs.
